We do a test and then we write our score on a piece of paper and if you get 50 you will be in the 50’s club, cool ah. Every Monday and Friday we do Jump Jam. PMP

Every Friday we do PMP. PMP is when we work on things like our hand eye cordination and our foot eye cordination. We also work on our ball skills and fitness. It is so much fun, we get to play lots of games and practice skills we have learnt. Today we played in groups of 3 and each group had a skipping rope. We had to hold the rope tight then one person had to jump over until it became too high, then the game turned into limbo, we had to limbo under the rope until it got too short. Have a look at our pictures.

P.E. with Jenny

Creating our writing rubric

Today in writing we looked at a number of writing samples. We had to find out what made a good piece of writing and why. We worked in pairs, first we read the 3 samples. Then we thought about what one was excellent, what one was okay and what one was poor. We then used our highlighters to show parts that were good and parts that weren't too flash. We then started to create a rubric. We talked about what an excellent piece of writing might look like and what an okay piece of writing might look like and what a poor piece of writing might look like.
Now we are going to add to our rubric when we need to.
We will soon be able to see how we are going and place our own learning on the rubric! It is exciting stuff because we are going to be in charge of our own learning!!
We can't wait to use it, or use the highlighters again!!!

We are learning that if you reverse a times table then the answer will stay the same!!
Look- We went 8x6, Alex and Miss. Langley put out 8 groups and filled each with 6 jellybeans. Then they reversed them and they had 6 groups with 8 jellybeans.
The answer was still the same!!
8x6=48
6x8=48

Children talk about the Holy Spirit

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkHHiBLDg9c
Have a look at this You Tube link.
It is our fab children talking about what they have learnt in the Holy Spirit Strand. They were in groups of 5 and they had to interview one another on what they had learnt.
Some are so well done and they speak very clearly, others have learnt that if they are going to speak into a microphone then they must remember to practice hard before they perform!
We all had heaps of fun doing this.

Room 2

We thought that we would show you all what our classroom is looking like at the moment!! We are learning about our place in the world. We have been asked the question "Am I who I am because of where I am?" and we are in the process of answering that at the moment by interviewing other schools.
We are also learning how to do multiplcation and division. We are learning our Times Tables. We have a Times Table comp on at the moment and we are all aiming to be in the 50 club!! We could win a really cool prize if we are in the 50 club the most!! And we can win spot prizes.
We love being in Room 2.

Our St. John's Visit

On Wednesday the 20th June we had a visit from a lady from St. John's. She came to talk to us about what we can do if we see someone who is sore or injured badly.
We learnt that we have to ring 111, we have to speak loud and clearly and tell the person on the line where we are and who we need.
We learnt that there are 2 emergency services, the ambulance, the police and the firefighters.
We know not to ring 111 unless it is an emergency because people who actually need 111 need to be able to ring through.
We got a bag full of goodies and a certificate.
